Effectively, in that case you should better use some kind of dedicated business object based on a datastore instead of  using embedded sql. Calling dedicated BO's method will make your code more readable and maintainable simply by providing lines of code that effectively does what their mean, instead of invoking embedded SQL that finally could do something totally different through the change of the submitted SQLSYNTAX via the sqlpreview event... It is a little bit tricky, no ?
